Harvest

AUGUST 2026 ART RESIDENCY
Artist: Michael Reinsch

Inspired by the idea of the harvest, Reinsch’s residency explores the intersection of tradition, agriculture, and contemporary environmental realities. Drawing on medieval symbolism while referencing modern farming practices, the work reflects on how harvest—and the systems around it—shape human identity and collective experience in an era of climate change and overconsumption. The residency will activate Building Five through a combination of live performance and multimedia installation, including sculptural works, large-scale forest paintings, and a monumental harvest structure. After the performances conclude, the installations remain on view, allowing the space to evolve from a site of action into one of reflection.
