SEPTEMBER 2026 ART RESIDENCY
Artist: Kiel FletcherKiel Fletcher will transform Building Five into a multi-sensory portrait of a singular, isolated landscape in the Oregon Cascades that emphasises presence, intimacy, and temporal immersion. Created by a series of ten large-form abstract print works, videos, and five looping sound installations of imperfect, fluctuating analog tape recordings from the field (birdsong, running water, wind in vegetation), the portrait moves beyond reproduction and documentation to abstract, distill, and re-articulate the experience of being with(in) the selected site. Evoking the landscape’s textures, atmosphere, and rhythms through translation into color, sound, and form, Fletcher invites viewers to hold space and deepen their relationship to environments oft passed-through, rather than attended to.
